For a young man who could hardly pass high school, writing a book was a dream.. Well, here I go, "I did it My Way"!
For a young man who could hardly pass high school, writing a book was a dream; a dream that became reality when I had time to stop, reflect and get to work on The Boy With The Scar! Paul Anka, a famous Canadian songwriter and singer, said it perfectly... "I Did It My Way".
My first step was to break open my memory bank and compile all my memorable childhood and business data. Re-living all those painful childhood experiences was an unforeseen heartache. Day after day pouring through hundreds of photos opened many old wounds. But I knew that wallowing in my sorrows wouldn't get me anywhere. My dream, my way, my first book!
My books writing process began the day I retired, at sixty-five years young. Not only did I want to write an autobiography, I wanted to write about my entrepreneurial journey. I wanted to share my Business life's experiences, teach and encourage young people in the hopes of helping them to achieve their dreams.
I not only relived my early childhood years, but also found boxes of business ads, articles, promotions, etc. chronicling my many business ventures. How did I know they would be so important years later? 49 years of blood, sweat and tears safely tucked away in the attic. Reminiscing and re-connecting with friends and family was also rewarding, inspiring and integral to the whole story of The Boy With The Scar.
Relax and enjoy my journey from the boy with the scar to the man with the scar.
